We pride ourselves in making small batches of superb, distinct wine, sourced from family vineyards. Tucked away in the idyllic Napa Valley’s “nested” appellation of Chiles Valley (once known as the “High Valley”), our vineyards lie 600 to 800 feet above the Napa Valley floor. Our vines benefit from this unique terroir, with its high-altitude breezes, milder climate, and extended growing period. Our 12 vineyard blocks are named in honor of each of our founding father’s 12 children.
Our old-fashioned attention to detail is complemented by our investment in the latest winemaking equipment and the technical rigor of our fifth-generation head winemaker, Aimée Sunseri, a graduate of UC Davis in Viticulture and Enology.
Nichelini classics include Cabernet Sauvignon, old-vine Zinfandel and our renowned Muscadelle de Bordelais (formerly titled Sauvignon Vert). In addition, we have an exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, Petite Sirah and some limited releases available only at the winery.
"It is a heavy baton to carry, but the honor of making legacy wines only drives me towards perfecting my craft," says Aimée.
